Go Green!

Still Life 4 « H&M The Garden Collection
St. Patty's Day is tomorrow!!! Instead of offering you the usual green attire that'll save you from getting pinched, I'd like to offer up some ways to be green. There are many green retailers out there to chose from and even some of your favorite stores are doing their part for sustainability.

This spring H&M is offering their Garden Collection, which is inspired by lush green garden florals with a twish of flower child flavor. However, the best part of this line is that it's made from organic cotton and recycled goods! (Read more about it here.) The line of 77 pieces including dresses, jackets, shoes and accessories ranging in prices from $3.95 to $59.95.

Other brands such as American Apparel, Levi's, Gap Inc., and Walmart's Faded Glory have also made a commitment to sustainability and offer environmentally friendly clothing.

Other tips on being a green shopper:

  • Shop with resuable shopping bags.

  • Recylce your clothing to local charities or even cosignment stores.

  • Shop Vintage

  • Be on the lookout for other great green retailers and product lines and don't be afraid to research your favorite stores and see where they stand on saving the environment.
