Lux or What the Fux?!? Ciara at 106 & Park

Here is Ciara on the streets of Manhattan in this interesting winter casual ensemble, which she also wore to 106 & Park to promote her new album "Basic Instinct". What do you think of this outfit? She's rocking trends of the season such as lace up boots and shearling, but does it work?

Does it have you screaming LUX... or What the FUX?!?!

Sound Off!

Leather Weather

I'm loving leather accents for fall. Not only is it great to have a leather or faux leather jacket and a great pair of boots, also incorporate other leather items into your wardrobe this season. Play it up to your inner tough girl personality or accent your leather goods with softer more feminine items like lace and ruffles. Here are some pretty cool leather items, I'd recommend you put in your closet.

Leatherette Knee Leggings, Forever21 $12.50 (look EXACTLY like the ones Dawn Richards is wearing in the picture above)

Twelve by Twelve Leather Trim Caridgan, Forever21 $32 (Not exactly identical to the Alexander Wang cardigan Rihanna is rocking above, but it beats the $625 price tag!)

Solange in leather pants

Red Label Faux Leather Pants, New York & Company $35
Loving Keri Hilson's leather studded vest, I don't know 'bout that hair though. o_O

Studded Asymetrical Vest, GoJane.com $20
Estelle rocking a leather skirt
Leather & Lace Sandy Skirt, Fred Flare $44 (Get 30% off now thru 11/15 using code "flare")

Sky High Thigh Highs

You walk a fine line when wearing thigh high boots from either looking incredibly chic or looking like a street walker.
I love the tagline to this movie!

They are a bold and sexy statement, but look great if you can pull it off correctly. You can pair them with a skirt, dress or pair of shorts or over your favorite pair of jeans or leggings.

If your not ready to take the plunge with a thigh high boot, consider starting with a knee high and work your way up. Also there are a lot of great thigh high options without heels. You can also create a thigh high look by pairing pumps or booties with a knee high or thigh high sock.

Check out my picks to achieve the over the knee trend. High boots, with low prices :o)

Do you love it? Ciara in Givenchy

Ciara definitely isn't someone who stands out as a fashion icon to me, but I HAD to post this photo of her from dressed in Givenchy from head to toe a recent Givenchy cocktail reception. I'm practically drooling over the velvet blazer right now.  I'm not too big a fan of harem pants, but on her long legs they look awesome and the sequins detail is great. How great that I just mentioned velvet and sequins in a recent post. *pats self on back*

Want the look?
