Celebs such as Keri Hilson, Amerie, and Angela Simmons all took a dip in the peroxide during the colder months and of course Beyonce has been living her life like it's golden for a long time now. What's with all these women of color going blonde? Do blondes really have more fun? It's totally not a look for everyone, but now that spring is approaching maybe it is time to consider going a tad bit lighter. So, if you're looking to give your hair some highlights here are some tips to consider.
1. Start with highlights if you're afraid to take the blonde plunge on a full head of hair. You can even just try a lighter shade of brown with blonde accents.
2. If you do dye you're hair be sure to stay on top of your hair treatments. When you change the color, you can be diminishing some of your hairs proteins. It's very important to make sure you keep your hair healthy to prevent any damage due to coloring. No one wants to walk around with dry hair.
3. Find the appropriate way to color your hair. It actually makes a difference on if your hair is natural versus relaxed due to thickness and textures. You should definitely contact a professional to see what color treatment will work best on your hair type.
4. Find a color that goes with your skin tone. Keep it realistic... please.
